16 Nov Stay at Harpers House in Cape Town
I think you all know that I’m a sucker for aesthetics. Whether it’s an AirBnB or a hotel or a Bed and Breakfast, I’d be lying to you if I said that I don’t visualize what my photographs will look like in the accommodation I am considering booking when I am considering booking it.
That’s not to say I don’t consider good service, clean rooms, a decent breakfast, location, blah blah blah, etc when choosing where to stay, but just that you get bonus points from me if you have something aesthetically that makes me want to pack lots of cute outfits and take lots of cute photos… And that, ladies and gents, is how I ended up booking our stay at Harpers House folks!
Located in Greenpoint, Harpers House is an 8 bedroom guest house with wonderfully beautiful finishings and interiors inside and outside. The room we stayed in on the top floor was a decent size, a little bit dark, as it didn’t get much daylight (hence why no bedroom pictures) and a stunning bathroom which I consistently marvelled at before and after every shower, because of all the beautiful details and finishes – from the tile on the floor to the taps to the light switches.
Breakfast is served in the downstairs dining area or the outside courtyard near the small splash pool. The menu is quite limited (but delicious and satisfying), so around day 3 we opted to go out for breakfast. The staff on site are really friendly, helpful and welcoming.
I would definitely recommend Harpers House… and not just because it is really pretty good looking as a place, for a short or an activity filled trip in Cape Town.
