Joshua Tree

Joshua Tree’s Cabin Cabin Cabin

After 3 days of walking from stage to stage and dancing till your calves hurt; one simply needs a break after Coachella and this year we decided to regroup with a little roadtrip to Joshua Tree where we stayed at cosy, bohemian inspired Air BnB called Cabin Cabin Cabin.

Located just a few minutes away from the main road and the entrance from Joshua Tree National Park, Cabin Cabin Cabin is the perfect place to stay at if you are visiting Joshua Tree for the first time. Cabin Cabin Cabin

Why?
  • It is located literally a blink away from the main road running through Joshua Tree
  • Which means you have quick and easy access to the recommended diners, coffee spots and restaurants… like Pie for the People, a pizza spot, that has really delicious toppings and Crossroads Café,  a diner that serves big portions has great friendly service and where your bill is some scribbles on a piece of paper.
  • It is basically minutes away from the Joshua Tree National Park Entrance
  • And other places to see like the Noah Purifoy gallery
  • The hosts Kathrin and Brian are super helpful. They were super responsive and gave us some great tips on things to do, places to eat etc
  • The cabin itself is a bohemian interior décor pinterest board and very Instagrammable… Check out our Instagram page @TravelGirlBoss to see what we mean
  • The orange tub outside
  • There is a record player and we sat drinking red wine playing records during the evening

It is really quiet at night …Joshua TreeCabin Cabin CabinCabin Cabin CabinJoshua TreeJoshua Tree

Things To Do In Joshua Tree

We only spent 2 nights in Joshua Tree (just enough time to pull oneself together, but not enough time to do everything we wanted to do). After braving the traffic coming out of Palm Springs, we decided that day one would be best spent enjoying our cosy abode, listening to records and drinking wine. Feeling well rested, we woke up on day two and committed to a little bit more activity, starting off with brunch at Crossroads Café (they have Mimosas). Slightly tipsy after our mimosa’s we took a drive and hike around Joshua Tree and made sure to hike into Hidden Valley.  The last stop on our itinerary for the day Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Musuem, founded by African-American visual artist and sculptor Noah S. Purifoy followed by massive pizzas for dinner from Pie for the People.

If I were to describe Joshua Tree in 3 words…

Quiet…Bohemian and calming.
