20 Sep Day To Night in NYC X Stuart Weitzman from Spitz
A lot of people ask me how I can afford to travel as much as I do. The simple answer is that I prioritise it. Not just from a time perspective, but from a financial perspective as well by making smarter spending decisions.
I know this might seem quite contradictory as I write these words next to images of me running around New York City in a COS dress and Stuart Weitzman shoes but the logic is as follows:
Build a wardrobe of good quality and classic pieces that you love. Each of these pieces should make your heart skip a beat. That way, even if you are spending more on one thing, you will in the long run get so much more out of it. Also, getting dressed in the morning is so much easier, because you love your clothes. Which means you won’t find yourself saying things like “I have nothing to wear” and shopping unnecessarily.
About This Look: Day Time
Stuart Weitzman makes shoes for women who live real lives, but want to do so looking phenomenal. In this look I have taken this COS dress, which I immediately fell in love with for its detailed simplicity from day to night, by simply swapping out shoes.
When I found this dress, I was walking up and down 5th Avenue in these brown lace up flats from Stuart Weitzman at Spitz. I think that having them on, whilst I was in the fitting room made me fall even more in love with this dress. I immediately had a full vision of how I could wear this dress in my real life, not just my Instagram one.
About This Look: Night Time
Real life for me, also includes some formal events. So I was really pleased when I got back to our hotel room at the Lotte New York Palace and threw on these amazing black suede lace up heels from Stuart Weitzman and it all worked. Not knowing where on earth I would wear them on my trip, I honestly packed them in my suitcase simply for their beauty. Thank goodness I did so, because I wouldn’t have had anything remotely gorgeous to wear when we club hopped from Up & Down and 1 Oak for NYFW after parties that one Thursday night, as they did what a good pair of heels do… Take your casual look to club appropriate in seconds.
