Riad BE Marrakech

Riad BE MarrakechI wish I could take credit for discovering this beautiful gem of a Riad, only because I pride myself on finding really beautiful accommodation options at a reasonable price. I mean Joshua Tree’s Cabin Cabin Cabin is an example of how good I am at this travel accommodation thing. But I got to give credit where credit is due and state that this discovery was all the boyfriend’s doing. After searching instagrammable Riad’s (bless his soul) and noting that Riad Yasmine (the riad, almost every blogger has shot at) was fully booked out, he looked harder (said like Rafiki in the Lion King) and found Riad BE Marrakech.

A Riad in Morocco, according to the online Oxford Dictionary, is a large traditional house built around a central courtyard, often converted into hotel. However, for the purposes of painting a more accurate picture of the experience we had at this particular riad, I will share Riad BE Marrakech’s more magical description…

Riad in Arabic means “garden”, and it stands for a house with an open patio with trees in it. You don’t see the beauty of the houses from the outside – you have to step in to the heavenly world full of history, culture and traditions.

And with that description setting the tone, I can now confidently begin by declaring that our stay at Riad BE Marrakech was nothing short of incredible. From the unbelievably super friendly and helpful staff, to the standout breakfast served on the roof terrace and the prime location of the riad, which is a walk away from the souks, to the visual feast that is the riad itself, I would highly recommend staying at Riad BE Marrakech. Be MarrakechRiad Be MarrakechNestled in the historical medina area of Marrakech, Riad BE has two Riads right next to each other, which are connected, by a rootftop terrace. The Oasis Riad was the first of their riads to open and is the one most seen on Instagram, with its lush green plants surrounding a small pool, blue and green detailed tiling patterns and Yoga studio.

The Essence Riad can only be described as incredibly calming, with its muted earthy tones and its organic touch points. The courtyard in this riad, also has a small pool that is surrounded by black, white and green tiling with pops of colour brought to life in the form of mustard coloured day beds and the aquamarine hue of the water.Be MarrakechRiad Be MarrakechAlso home to their in-house hammam, The Essence Riad is where our room for the duration of the stay was booked. A charming room on the ground floor that looks out into the small pool in the courtyard, the Double Room Zafran is a medium sized bedroom with a separate bathroom. Beautifully decorated with ornately carved wooden wardrobe doors, side tables and moody lighting, my favourite thing about the room is how it constantly smelt like Neroli Portofino by Tom Ford. Or maybe I am just obsessed with that fragrance when I’m on holiday and this gorgeous place matched the scent in my mind perfectly.Riad Be Marrakech RoomReasonably priced, well located and an absolutely magical place, Riad BE Marrakech, is the perfect place to have your first cup of mint tea and some Moroccan biscuits. It is the perfect place to spend a relaxing afternoon on a hammock or smoking a shisha on the rooftop, and it is definitely the perfect place to flood your Instagram timeline with beautiful images.Riad Be Marrakech
